I am a 20 year old New Zealand rugby player on a Provincial Union Development contract with Mitre 10 Cup union Manawatu Turbos, and a member of that union’s rugby academy. Having played my rugby in the New Zealand and Hurricanes age group system as an openside flanker (7), in 2016 my academy managers and Turbos coaches suggested I make a switch to second five (12) as my all round skill set is best suited to that position in their minds.
I have enjoyed the switch immensely and have just completed a solid Manawatu Premier club season as the first choice 12 with my club. I am now looking for an opportunity to continue my development as a 12 over the NZ off season. Although a developing midfielder, I am confident I can contribute significantly to any club’s results and team environment. I’d like to secure a place in a club at a level at least equivalent to the Mitre 10 Cup development level I am operating at in New Zealand.
